Keep in Touch - 3.0
KEEP IN TOUCH – 3.0is a project by three Fine Arts graduates from the renowned Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. It is the direct successor to the Rietveld-Gelsenkirchen residency projects of 2014 and 2015.
Artists Suzanne Bernhardt, Didi Lehnhausen and Johanna Arco were involved in both residences. They are currently engaged in an artistic search for links between Web 3.0 and the arts.
Suzanne Bernhard works primarily as a concept artist using social interaction and communication models, both traditional group formation processes and interactive digital installations. Johanna Arco explores metaphysical distinctions between objects and human beeings via an action and object-based approach. Didi Lehnhausen works primarily with various digital and analogue techniques in the field of photography and film.
For KEEP IN TOUCH – 3.0the three artists will work autonomously, using their preferred artistic methods, on individual projects on the topic of ‘digital culture and the possibility of applying itto cultural diversity’.
Their collaboration will be intensified by their experience of living together in shared accommodation at the Halfmannshof artists‘ colony in Gelsenkirchen. They will explore the leitmotif of Web 3.0, which for them stands for the connectivity of information points – and thus, ultimately, of the human being.
Julian Rybarksi, another artist living at the colony, will support them in their communications with partners in Gelsenkirchen. The project will culminate in a three-part exhibition.
